Los Angeles Clippers Are Primed To Make A Title Run

For most of the Los Angeles Clippers existence, we were never able to put “Clippers” and “NBA Title” in the same sentence. Even in the past few years, when the team was one of the best in the tough Western Conference, we were not quite ready to anoint the Clippers as title contenders.

Well, now is the time to anoint the Clippers as a threat to win it all and bring a championship back to Hollywood.

The Clippers have an owner that is finally devoted to making the team not just a playoff contender, but a championship level ball club. The Clippers have a coach that knows how to get championship level performances out of his players, and the Clippers have a roster that is more focused than ever on putting to rest the notion of the Clippers being the “other team” in L.A.

Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are two All-Stars that will be hungry to finally lead the Clippers to the promise land. Paul is an elite level point guard, and Griffin is getting better at being an all-around offensive threat.

And let’s not forget about DeAndre Jordan and J.J. Redick, two blue chip guys who provides the Clippers with toughness both inside and on the outside. The Clippers also possess one of the greatest sixth men in the game in Jamal Crawford, and a deep bench that can give the Clippers quality minutes.

Add it all up, and you have the makings of the second best team in the Western Conference behind the San Antonio Spurs, and easily the fourth best team in the entire league. I know, it’s the Clippers, but I think it’s time to say that the Clippers are for real, and we should not be shocked at all if the Los Angeles Clippers reach the mountain top in June.
