5 Reasons Why Utah Jazz Fans Should Be Excited For 2014-15 Season

Since Dennis Lindsey took over basketball ops, the team has been doing things a little bit differently. The previous regime had a successful run, but sometimes different is good. Lindsey has a clear vision for how this team should rebuild and is committed to doing so the right way. He has masterfully accumulated quality assets over the years; now he'll attempt to mold them into a championship contender in the years ahead.

He's 19 years old, he has to develop his body and learning the NBA game will be a challenge. Still, last summer's No. 5 overall pick Dante Exum is the one player on the team with superstar potential. He will have some rough spots this season, but watching him grow as a player should provide excitement for years to come.

Though it's happened more slowly than most fans would have liked, the Jazz core of Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, Alec Burks and Enes Kanter have been given more run with each passing season. Along with Trey Burke, they are the starting lineup this year and all have the potential to post career numbers as the team leans on them more than ever before.

First-year coach Quin Snyder has revamped the team's agenda both offensively and defensively. His "space and pace", read-based offense should result in more points for the Jazz despite their lack of shooting, and the transition defense along with a commitment to challenging jump shooters is looking greatly improved.

Perhaps no player has exhibited more improvement over last season's output than Rudy Gobert. Once a garbage time player, Gobert is now a key part of the team's rotation with the potential to become one of the most intimidating defensive presences in the NBA.
