5 Reasons Why Sacramento Kings Fans Should Be Excited For 2014-15 Season

With one of the NBA's best centers starting in the middle, the Kings have added their share of perimeter threats. If Ben McLemore has a breakout sophomore season, the Kings should be serious contenders out West. If Nik Stauskas and Ray McCallum can produce off the bench, the Kings will be a deep team on the perimeter.

Don't be surprised to see a healthy Rudy Gay producing in Sacramento, especially with this being a contract year for the small forward. Last season Gay averaged 20.1 PPG, 5.5 RPG and 3.1 APG. With a new pass-first point guard at the helm, look for an improved Gay.

In the offseason the Kings added point guard Darren Collison after Isaiah Thomas signed with the Phoenix Suns. While Collison might not be the outside threat Thomas was, he is a great facilitator and should be a great complement to DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay.

Kings fans should be excited about what the future has in store for their franchise with their core of young talented players. The Kings have the capable scorers on the roster, but the big question is who will step up as the third option in Sacramento?
