7 NBA Teams That Will Break Records This Season

7 NBA Teams That You Didn't Know Would Break Records

The 2014-2015 NBA season has started and this year promises to be one of the best of all time with an unbelievable amount of talent throughout the league from top to bottom. With so many high quality players all questing for an NBA Championship, it's almost a guarantee that records are going to be broken all year long. Here are seven predictions for which NBA teams are going to find themselves in the record books this season.

“Most Starting Lineups Used in One Season”
The Bucks have only two names written in pen on their starting lineup: Brandon Knight and Larry Sanders. The rest of the starting spots are up for grabs and while rookie Jabari Parker is working hard to grab one of the open forward spots, Ersan Ilyasova, Khris Middleton, and Giannis Antetokounmpo won't go down without a fight. Look for this starting lineup to change weekly – if not nightly.

“Most Three-Pointers Per Minute”
They don't call them the Splash Brothers for nothing. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for almost 500 total three-pointers last year and with both players entering the prime of their careers, it's a safe bet that those numbers will be even better this season. Bring an umbrella to watch the Warriors this year, because it's going to be raining threes.

“Largest International Roster”
The Spurs are pretty much the United Nations of Basketball. In their starting five alone, they represent America, Brazil, France, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. On the bench, they're also repping Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, and Italy. There's no team in the NBA this season, much less the world, with as much international firepower as the Spurs are bringing to the court.

Indiana Pacers

“Least Number of Healthy Players”
When Paul George went down for Team USA, every Pacers fan gasped. Flash forward three months and the Pacers have somehow lost four more players (George Hill, CJ Watson, David West, and Rodney Stuckey) for at least their home opener. When Donald Sloan is your starting PG, it's time to start worrying about your entire season.

“Most Celebrity Fans Lost in a Single Season”
Even with Kobe back on the floor and healthy (for now), things look bleak for the Lakers. In a town as fickle as Los Angeles, where movie stars are put out to pasture after one bad film opening, it'll be interesting to watch as celebs flock to the newly resurgent Clippers and keep their gold and purple tucked away quietly in their closets.

“Best Technical Foul to Dunk Ratio”
Stan Van Gundy is going to do his best in Motor City, but consider this: four of the top 28 players receiving technical fouls last year played home games at The Palace. Brandon Jennings, Andre Drummond, Josh Smith, and Greg Monroe averaged ten techs per season last year, which is flat out crazy. Can SVG rein in his players or will we see the birth of Bad Boys 2.0? Only time will tell...

“Highest Level of Fear Struck in Opponents”
When LeBron James announced he was going to Cleveland, other NBA teams knew the Cavs would instantly become a contender. When Kevin Love decided he was going to join LeBron and Kyrie Irving, the situation jumped to a whole new level. Instead of “a contender,” the Cavs became “the contender” and it'll be years before another team makes opponents shake in their hi-tops as much as this year's Cavs.
