The Cavaliers aren’t out to the start they’d hoped for, but they should be happy they are in the Eastern Conference. This ensures that they’ll basically make the playoffs by default because of the lack of competition.

The Cavaliers have been able to win the NBA Draft lottery two out of the last three years. Even before that, they have struck gold at the NBA Draft. With No.1 overall picks like LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins, who made it possible for Kevin Love to be traded, the Cavs should be grateful for their good fortune in recent years.

Kevin Love wanted out of Minnesota, but the Cavaliers weren’t even options for him. Cavs fans should be thankful Love decided to join forces with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, because this was never supposed to happen.

Prior to LeBron James’ return, the Cavaliers were Kyrie Irving’s team. Since 2011, Irving has been running the show and running it quite well. He has always had team success in Cleveland, but he's also widely known as one of the top point guards in the NBA in only his fourth season. Cavs fans should be thankful they have a chance to watch him for years to come.

After four long years in darkness, Cavaliers fans can finally be thankful that LeBron James has returned home. It seems almost too good to be true, like some sort of dream or fairytale ending. The city couldn’t have asked for much more than the best player on earth take his talents back to Ohio.
