The Golden State Warriors pulled away in the fourth quarter against the Miami Heat on their way to a 114-97 victory in Miami.

Stephen Curry was absolutely outstanding, erupting for 40 points, seven assists and six rebounds on 12-of-19 shooting, including eight three-pointers. The array of shots Curry hit during the game were mostly impossible to defend, as he continued to hoist up shots from around the perimeter with his quick-trigger release. His Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, also chipped in with 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field.

It was actually surprising that the Heat were able to stay in this game until the seven-minute mark of the fourth quarter considering that they only shot 39 percent from the field for the game, while the Warriors shot a remarkable 57-percent mark, including a ridiculous 46 percent from outside.

This game demonstrated once again why Curry is not just the best point guard in the game, but a viable MVP candidate who is playing for perhaps the best team in the Western Conference right now. It is clear that new head coach Steve Kerr has implemented a brilliant offensive system that has allowed shooters like Curry and Thompson to really flourish.

The Heat are by no means a bad team or easy win despite losing LeBron James during this past summer, and the Warriors are playing at an extremely high level right now thanks to the leadership of the best shooter on the planet, Curry.
