Sacramento Kings (9-6) vs. San Antonio Spurs (10-4)

Game Time, TV: Friday, Nov.28 – 8:30 p.m. ET on FSSW (SA)

Projected Starting Lineups:

Sacramento Kings: PG: Ramon Sessions, SG: Ben McLemore, SF: Omar Casspi PF: Jason Thompson, C: DeMarcus Cousins

San Antonio Spurs: PG: Tony Parker, SG: Danny Green, SF: Kawhi Leonard, PF: Tim Duncan, C: Boris Diaw

The Spurs are finally starting to regain some remnants of their championship form from a season ago by winning five straight. As they look to extend their strong play, it is only fitting that it be against the last team to beat them, the Kings.

In their last meeting, Cousins had his way with the Spurs’ defense when he finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds in only 26 minutes. Rudy Gay’s 18 points and Darren Collison’s 19 points sealed the deal, but their injuries will make them a non-factor in this rematch. Sessions and Casspi will look to fill the void as best as possible.

The Spurs will have to seek revenge without the aid of Gregg Popovich, who has been out following a recent medical procedure. In his second career start, Ettore Messina will try and stay undefeated as an NBA head coach (1-0). Manu Ginobili and Leonard have been playing well, so look for each to have a significant impact on both ends of the floor against the Kings.

This game won’t be as comfortable for the Kings as the first meeting was, since injuries will have them significantly shorthanded. The Spurs have played way better at home this season, shooting almost 38 percent from beyond the arc and scoring nearly 100 points per game. The expectation is for the Spurs to blow out the Kings pretty easily with their efficient ball-movement and sold scoring distribution.

Prediction: Spurs 103, Kings 89
