Stephen Curry’s late-game heroics saved the day for the Golden State Warriors as they escaped with a 98-97 win over the Orlando Magic.

The Magic appeared to be in great shape to end the Warriors’ winning streak and snag an improbable victory. However, Curry’s stutter-step pull back 3-pointer over Tobias Harris with 2.2 seconds remaining proved to be the crippling blow to hopes. The Warriors have now won 10 games in a row, and Curry has emerged as a viable MVP candidate who might indeed be the best point guard in the NBA now.

We have not seen many memorable Curry late-game moments, but this shot might very well prove to be the first in a very long line soon to come. The Warriors now move to 15-2 on the season under new head coach Steve Kerr, whose brilliant offensive schemes have allowed “The Splash Brothers” Curry and Klay Thompson to elevate their games to the next level.

This win over the Magic demonstrates that the Warriors now have the confidence to take and make big shots in close games, and that Curry has shifted an extra gear and become a superstar in the NBA. The Warriors are hands-down the most exciting team to watch in the league right now, and as long as Curry is pulling the trigger, they will also continue to be one of the most feared teams in the league.
