2015 NBA All-Star Game: Early Predictions For Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards could not have asked for a hotter start at 18-6, especially considering the preseason injury to Bradley Beal. They currently lead the Southeast division and only trail the Toronto Raptors for the No. 1 seed, but how many All-Stars play on the Wiz?

Beal is not quite at that level, but he is getting close. His three-point percentage (47.5) very nearly gets him there by itself, however, his 15.1 points per game are not enough for a selection in my opinion. His numbers should rise a lot more by the time February arrives though.

John Wall, on the other hand, should be a starter on the Eastern Conference squad and has flashed glimpses of his franchise player potential. The PG’s play has helped his team nearly lead the league with 25.8 assists per game.

The only other potential selections on D.C. are Paul Pierce and Marcin Gortat. They have both been solid without a doubt, but the masses will not give Gortat much love. Pierce will get some fan votes, but his numbers are not as high as usual. 13.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game are great averages for a player of his age, however, his All-Star chances are slim to none. That is not why he came to Washington, though, and he would gladly trade another trip to the NBA Finals for losing out on a selection to the exhibition game.

Expect to see Wall voted in as a starter with Beal as a reserve. D.C. sport fans deserve a good team after all of this nonsense from Robert Griffin III, and we could see open revolt against the Washington Redskins if head coach Jay Gruden is brought back next year. These are all interesting things to keep an eye on in the District, but the one clear positive has been the Wizards absolutely rolling so far this season due to their two All-Stars.
