Although the NBA trade deadline is still a few months away, it is never too early for a team to focus in on some possible trade targets. Here are five early-season trade targets that could help the Philadelphia 76ers’ rebuilding process.

After he was taken with the 20th pick in this past summer’s NBA Draft, Bruno Caboclo was described as being “two years away from being two years away.” With the Philadelphia 76ers currently looking like they won’t compete for anything anytime soon, the “Brazilian Kevin Durant” can be a guy they get for relatively cheap and take their time with developing.

The 15th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Adreian Payne has managed to play in only one game so far this season. With the Hawks looking to make a run in this year’s NBA Playoffs, the 76ers could send the Hawks some veteran help like Andrei Kirilenko in exchange for the rookie forward. With plenty of playing time to be had, Payne could then be developed into a solid rotational player by Brett Brown and the rest of his coaching staff.

Taken just seven picks behind Michael Carter-Williams in the 2013 NBA Draft, Shane Larkin has had a less than stellar start to his NBA career. After only playing in 48 games for Dallas last year, and then being traded to New York in the offseason, Larkin hasn't been able gain any sort of momentum. With the Knicks likely selling any pieces they can, Larkin would make for a great fit behind his 2013 NBA Draft classmate Michael Carter-Williams.

Two years ago, the 76ers acquired Tony Wroten. Buried on the bench of a veteran-laden Grizzlies team, the 76ers gave up very little to acquire the young guard. The 76ers can do the same thing with McCallum. Buried as the Kings’ third point guard, McCallum has seen very little playing time this season. The 76ers would not only fill a need by acquiring McCallum, but they would also continue to get younger.

Just a few years ago with the Rockets, Sam Hinkie gave the Thunder a number of valuable assets in exchange for a young, backup guard who was looking to become a star. He now has the chance to repeat history. With Jackson set to become a restricted free agent at year’s end, Hinkie has plenty of assets (including Michael Carter-Williams) at his disposal that he can deal for Jackson, who can then become the star of the 76ers for the next decade.
