The 2014-15 NBA rookie class is full of leapers, and it would surprise no one to see at least a few of them in the 2015 All-Star weekend's dunk contest. You should definitely expect a couple members of the Minnesota Timberwolves to make an appearance here, but there are also some Eastern Conference players represented.

Nikola Mirotic might be the front-runner for Rookie of the Year at this moment, and he could get an invite to the dunk contest if others pull out. Even though Mirotic is not much of a jumper, I'm sure he could get Derrick Rose involved in some way.

Jabari Parker is more of an honorary selection, because he tore his ACL earlier this season. If Parker had been eligible for the dunk contest, then he would have had a shot at winning it. He placed much better than many thought was possible at a similar event for the McDonald's All-American game.

Zach LaVine is a human trampoline, and he could be a star one day if the PG puts it all together. You can bet that his chances of winning the dunk contest are quite high.

This point guard's minutes will definitely increase since Rajon Rondo is no longer in town, but Marcus Smart is a leaper with loads of room for improvement. He could one day be a fearless leader for the Boston Celtics, however, right now the PG is just another rookie trying to find his way.

A year ago, would you have ever thought two Minnesota Timberwolves could be on this list? Well, that is the reality now, and Andrew Wiggins is a young man with worlds of athleticism at his disposal. It is too bad we never got to see him play with LeBron James.
