With the 2015 NBA All-Star game approaching fast, here are the top five players who I think deserve to be in the game, but won't be traveling to New York for the long weekend in February.

Eric Bledsoe leads the Phoenix Suns in points and assists per game. He has been the main reason why the Suns are in playoff contention in a stacked Western Conference. There are too many better point guards in the west, so he'll miss the cut.

4. Brandon Knight

Brandon Knight is averaging 18 PPG, 5.1 APG and 4.4 RPG. The Milwaukee Bucks were supposed to be one of the worst teams in the NBA this year, but Knight's leadership and talent has them in sixth in the east at 18-17. He doesn't get the recognition he deserves, and that is going to keep him off the All-Star team this year.

3. Jeff Teague

Among Eastern Conference point guards, Jeff Teague is fifth in points, fourth in assists and second in steals per game. He has been one of the most consistent guards in the NBA and has led the surprising Atlanta Hawks to first place in the East. Teague continues the trend of underrated point guards who won't make the All-Star game this year.

2. Andre Drummond

The Detroit Pistons have been horrible this season, but Andre Drummond has not. He averages a double-double and is a monster on the glass. With the ability to throw down huge dunks and put up big blocks, Drummond is exactly what the NBA wants in an All-Star game. If his team was good, he would be there; but since they aren't, he'll take a back seat to guys like Joakim Noah.

Klay Thompson is averaging 21 PPG for the NBA-leading Golden State Warriors. He is having the best season of his young career, and should still be at All-Star weekend for the 3-point contest. Finally becoming an all-around player, the other "Splash Brother" will miss out on the game behind undeserved players like Kobe Bryant.
