TNT’s halftime team have made their fearless forecasts for NBA All-Star Weekend’s main events on Saturday night at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY. They have Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves winning the Slam Dunk Contest, and Kyle Korver of the Atlanta Hawks capturing the 3-point Contest title.

Host Ernie Johnson, Jr., along with Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith, made their prognostications during the halftime broadcast of Friday’s Rising Stars Challenge. Barkley, Smith and Johnson all had LaVine winning the Slam Dunk Contest, while Johnson and Barkley both agreed that Korver will have the highest score in the 3-point Shootout.

Shaq was the only one on the crew with enough gumption to venture out on his own, picking Mason Plumlee of the Brooklyn Nets as the Slam Dunk champ, while also selecting Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors as victor of the 3-point Contest; Smith predicts James Harden of the Houston Rockets will capture the 3-point Contest.

The Four Amigos’ Predictions:
Charles Barkley: LaVine, slam dunk; Korver, 3-point
Shaquille O’Neal: Plumlee, slam dunk; Thompson, 3-point
Kenny Smith: LaVine, slam dunk; Harden, 3-point
Ernie Johnson, Jr. (Host): LaVine, slam dunk; Korver, 3-point

Usually, TNT’s sometimes lovable, but mostly laughable, halftime crew is bitterly opposed on most subjects, if not outspoken. It’s not too often these guys can agree on anything, so it was a complete surprise to see so much consensus in their selections. For the sake of pure entertainment value, let’s hope that trend doesn’t continue during Saturday’s broadcast.
