Kendrick Perkins was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Utah Jazz just about an hour before Thursday’s NBA Trade Deadline. It appears his stay in Utah won’t be long, as the Jazz are expected to immediately buy out his contract. Here are five potential landing spots for Perkins.

After not making any moves before the deadline, the Clippers are still looking to reinforce the roster any way they can before the playoffs. Doc Rivers, Perkins’ former coach with the Boston Celtics, coaches the Clippers, making them the team to beat.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Cavaliers are serious contenders for Perkins. Cleveland’s trade for Timofey Mozgov has worked out brilliantly, but the Cavaliers still have a need to add another big body.

Chicago is a team known for playing aggressive, hard-nosed defense, making the defensive-minded Perkins a perfect fit. Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau coached the Celtics defense when Perkins was in Boston, so there is the familiarity factor to take into account with the Bulls.
