March has arrived and the NBA season is starting to get closer to the end. With that comes the MVP discussion. We are in the midst of one of the best MVP races we've seen in recent years with so many players doing special things on the court. Without further ado, here are the top 10 MVP rankings as of March.

10. Anthony Davis

If the Pelicans make the playoffs Davis will jump a few spots, but right now I just can't put a player up that high if his team isn't in it. But Davis is fourth in scoring, 10th in rebounding and third in blocks. 24.2 PPG, 10.3 RPG and 2.8 BPG is nothing short of MVP-like.

If I could put the whole Atlanta Hawks roster in this spot I would. But since I can't, I'm going to go with Teague. Atlanta has the best record in the league, and Teague is running the show there. His stats, 17 PPG and seven APG, aren't MVP numbers, but the way he's running one of the best teams in the league is.

8. Chris Paul

Paul is tied for the league lead in assists per game (10.1) and has added 18.5 PPG to go with it. He's a defensive stud at the point-guard position, but the main reason why he's on here is for the way he's carried the Clippers without Blake Griffin. Most teams would crumble when they lose an All-Star starter, but Paul has kept the Clippers afloat.

7. LaMarcus Aldridge

Aldridge is one of three players in the league averaging 20 PPG and 10 RPG. He is clearly the most important player on the third place team in the Western Conference. But what puts him on this list is how he passed up surgery on his thumb that would cause him to miss 4-6 weeks and instead has toughed it out to keep his team in contention.

6. Pau Gasol

Jimmy Butler gets most of the praise in Chicago, but to me the MVP from this team is Gasol. He's been the best free agent pickup from the offseason, and while everyone around him gets hurt he still is keeping this team in second place in the Eastern Conference. His 18 PPG, 12 RPG and two BPG aren't shabby either.

Memphis is second in the West and it all starts with Gasol. He is a great defender, exceptional scorer and the best facilitator at the center position. Gasol leads this team on both ends of the court and is the main reason why the Grizzlies are one of many people's picks to win the championship.

4. Russell Westbrook

I can't believe I have Westbrook outside of the top three in the MVP race. He leads the league in scoring and is on one of the best runs we have seen in years with four straight triple-doubles. The only reason I don't have him in the top three is he missed more games than the other guys. If he wins I will have no argument against it.

3. James Harden

Harden is second in the league in scoring (0.1 behind Westbrook) and is averaging seven APG. He has kept the Rockets in the top four in the West while Dwight Howard has missed almost half of the team's games this year. Without Harden this team is lost.

2. Stephen Curry

Curry is the best player on arguably the best team in the league and his numbers show it: 24 PPG and eight APG. He has been the leader of the West-best Golden State Warriors, and it's obvious that he's in argument for MVP.

LeBron James is still the best player in the world, so he is still the MVP in my mind. He changes the game in every way and is the ultimate leader off the court. There is no doubt in my mind that King James is the MVP.
