The NBA’s Western Conference is a battlefield of titans, and among the heavyweights, the Memphis Grizzlies currently rank second. In order to maintain this excellent seeding for the playoffs, here are five games the Grizzlies must win.

The Bulls are reeling, and the Grizzlies must take advantage and take this game. They're four and a half games behind the No. 1 seed, but just two games up on the No. 3 seed. The Grizzlies need to sense when the enemy is weak and treat them like their prey.

Down the stretch, the Grizzlies must win the tough road games. Arguably one of the Grizzlies’ toughest away contests, the Wizards present a challenge that would prepare Memphis well for the playoffs.

The Blazers currently hold the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference and are rubbing on the heels of the Grizzlies. Memphis must win this game to keep Portland on the other end of the bracket.

Six days after taking on the team chasing the Grizzlies, Memphis takes aim at the team one spot ahead, the Golden State Warriors. Stopping the Splash Brothers will be arduous, but if this No. 2 is to become a No. 1, it’s imperative.

The Clippers represent the current No. 5 seed in the Western Conference playoff picture. Memphis will want to close strong and keep the teams beneath them to the lowest seed possible. Otherwise, the Grizzlies could possibly face the Clippers just a couple weeks later, as early as the second round of the playoffs.
