During Game 2 of the Los Angeles Clippers‘ second-round showdown with the Houston Rockets, LA small forward Matt Barnes made a complete fool of himself. After allowing his emotions to get the best of him, he uttered a few words to the mother of Rockets’ guard James Harden, and it paints a pitiful picture of Barnes.

Now Barnes is a loving father who gives plenty back to the community of Los Angeles. For all intents and purposes, he seems like a decent guy. However, the words he directed towards Monja Willis have to make you wonder how ugly of a person he can be when his buttons are pressed.

For those of you who are unaware of what this may have stemmed from, Barnes and Harden have long had an on-court rivalry that often involves physical confrontations and flagrant fouls.

According to TMZ, Barnes apologized after the game.

Regardless, that’s pathetic. Grow up, Matt; you’re a father, not a teenager.
