The Orlando Magic are coming off their third straight sub-30 win season, but the future looks really bright in the Magic Kingdom. The Magic now have a solid core to build around in Victor Oladipo, Elfrid Payton and Nikola Vucevic, and as a bonus, Orlando will be flushed with cash to chase after a free agent who can help push the team into playoff contention next year. Here are the five free agents the Magic should target this offseason.

5. Khris Middleton

Shooting was a problem for Orlando this season, as Channing Frye didn’t live up to his insane $ 34 million contract. The Magic can make up for that blunder by signing Middleton, as he can solve the shooting woes and help open up the driving lanes for Oladipo and Payton.

4. LaMarcus Aldridge

Just a few months ago, it was almost a foregone conclusion that LaMarcus Aldridge would stay in the Pacific Northwest. After another early ouster from the playoffs, he may be having second thoughts about re-upping with the Portland Trail Blazers. Orlando could be a great fit for him, as he and Vucevic would be a power tandem in the East.

3. Kevin Love

Love has always been a question mark regarding his future with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he could very well be in play this offseason. Like Middleton, Love can spread the floor, and as a bonus, he can help Vucevic on the glass, which would make Orlando’s frontcourt a very scary one in the East.

2. Ed Davis

Davis had a pretty solid season for the woeful Los Angeles Lakers, as he led the team in rebounding percentage, win shares and PER. He would be a tremendous fit in Orlando, providing some much-needed inside muscle on the front line beside Vucevic. Davis’ price tag will be reasonable too, making him a desirable target.

1. Aaron Brooks

With Payton now fully inserted into the starting nucleus of the Magic, the team needs to find a backup point guard who can stretch the floor and provide leadership in the second unit. Brooks can fill that role and then some, and he could be a spark plug in the second unit for cheap.
