5 Players the Indiana Pacers Should Consider Trading This Offseason

It was a weird year for the Indiana Pacers, who simultaneously disappointed and overachieved – if such a thing is possible. However, with superstar Paul George slated to come back fully healthy for the 2015-16 season, changes will probably be necessary. Here are some ideas.

Copeland had a woeful shooting year, but he might be the kind of player who needs a vibrant offense around him to be effective. Because of this, I imagine he still has trade value around the league and could net the Pacers something more useful to them in return.

Sloan was a feel-good story early on in the year, filling in for the injured George Hill and making some huge shots in the clutch. But once Hill came back, Sloan's minutes dovetailed, and it's likely he has no realistic role on the team for the near future.

3. C.J. Watson

Watson posted a career-high PER this season, and at age 30 his trade value is probably as high as it's ever going to be. Teams like the recently bounced Los Angeles Clippers could use a guy like Watson more than the Pacers.

Yes, I realize I've essentially just put all of Indiana's guards on the trading block. Well... they have too many. Stuckey had a good season, but the Pacers' front office is going to have determine whether they think he's anything more than a "good stats on a bad team" player.

Larry Bird has been very open about Hibbert since the Pacers' season ended; his days with the team seem likely to have ended. He had the chance to shoulder a bigger role on offense with George out, but at center, 45 percent shooting isn't cutting it. However, his value on defense is still formidable, and teams should be lining up around the block with juicy offers for him.

Curry Shows Off With Half-Court Shot
