5 Players Chicago Bulls Should Consider Trading This Offseason

Who Should Stay? Who Should Go

The Chicago Bulls suffered a disappointing exit in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. Despite a heroic return for Derrick Rose and the offseason addition of Pau Gasol, the Bulls could not overcome injuries and, of course, LeBron James. However, with the end of a season comes the time for change. Rumors are already surrounding Chicago, so here are five players who they should trade. Just add to the speculation.

5. Doug McDermott

Doug McDermott is a young player in development for the Bulls. He didn't exactly average lots of minutes during the season or playoffs. Chicago can continue to hold onto McDermott, but I expect them to use him in a multi-player trade.

Tony Snell is another young player, but saw more of the court than McDermott did. Snell actually become somewhat of a valuable piece in the playoffs, but don't think he is safe in Chicago. Snell could also be used in a multi-team/player deal along with some other players still to come in the countdown.

3. Nikola Mirotic

Nikola Mirotic is a power forward that can spread the floor and shoot from range. He became a staple off the bench for Chicago during the regular season, but completely fell apart in the playoffs. If Tom Thibodeau isn't safe, then I wouldn't expect any players to be safe. Mirotic could easily draw interest in a trade scenario and could see some decent offers.

2. Taj Gibson

It has already been rumored that big man Taj Gibson could be on the trading block and he could easily draw multiple buyers. He is a rough and tough power forward who will protect the paint and be the garbage man. He isn't exactly a scorer, but off of offensive rebounds and dump passes, he can average double digits. He is a great player to have coming off the bench and the Bulls would get value in return.

1. Joakim Noah

After his playoffs performance, it would come as no surprise if there is some disdain between the Bulls and center Joakim Noah. The high energy, defensive-minded player just wasn't himself against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With only one year left on his contract, there is no guarantees he will stay in Chicago or they will even re-sign him. Owed over $13 million next year, it wouldn't surprise me if the Bulls at least looked at offers for Noah.

Watch Bulls Get Whistled For 5-Second Call Because Of Drake

The Toronto Raptors were down by three points with 25 seconds remaining and the Chicago Bulls were taking the ball out of bounds. It happened to be right in front of Drake who is the Raptors' biggest fan. Drake proceeded to talk trash into Justin Holiday's ear while he tried to get the ball in-bounds, and it distracted Holiday enough to get a crucial five-second call against the Bulls. This is my favorite Drake moment of all time.

Bulls' Doug McDermott Proves White Men Can Jump

With Jimmy Butler out, Doug McDermott is getting more run than he normally would for the Chicago Bulls. While the verdict is still out on the former Creighton standout, this epic dunk in which he proved white men can jump against the Atlanta Hawks was the perfect way to showcase his otherworldly athleticism.

Watch LeBron James, Cavaliers Show Off Handshake Game During Win

The Cleveland Cavaliers steamrolled the banged-up Chicago Bulls on Thursday evening, and when LeBron James and the rest of the team's starters were taken out of the game late in the fourth quarter, they busted out a series of handshakes as if they had just won the lottery. It was an interesting scene, if nothing else.
