5 Free Agents the Milwaukee Bucks Should Target in 2015 Offseason

The Milwaukee Bucks surprised many pundits this past season by becoming one of the top six teams in the Eastern Conference. The combination of stellar head coaching from Jason Kidd and the play of the Bucks' young athletic trio (Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker) have turned this team into a fearsome opponent. Here are five free agents the Bucks should target in the 2015 offseason.

5. Chris Kaman

One positional issue of need for the Bucks next season is at back-up center. John Henson doesn’t exactly have the size to play consistent minutes at the position, so a replacement is absolutely necessary. Chris Kaman would be an ideal candidate considering how effective he was in Portland this past season, averaging 8.6 points and 6.5 rebounds on 52% shooting from the field. Kaman’s seven ft. stature is an added bonus.

4. Mike Dunleavy

With the uncertainty of Jared Dudley’s contract heading into next season, the Bucks would be wise to explore signing a proven wing veteran to replace him. Mike Dunleavy is the type of floor spacing forward the Bucks need to run an effective offense, and a second stint in Milwaukee shouldn’t be ruled out. No small forward on the Bucks roster shot over 40% from beyond the arc last season, but Dunleavy did with the Bulls.

3. Danny Green

The Bucks need a more consistent backup shooting guard due to O.J. Mayo just not getting it done on the floor. Danny Green is one of the league’s top sharpshooters and would be a tremendous weapon with the second unit. Green has also become an underrated defender, averaging over 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks per game last season. He would instantly vault the Bucks backcourt rotation into the top five of the East.

2. Jae Crowder

Jae Crowder is arguably one of the top young, athletic and cheap small forwards coming into free agency this summer, and the Bucks would be wise to sign him to try to replace Jared Dudley (should he decide to sign with another team). Crowder has become a stout defender, typically guarding the opposing team's best wing player, and would provide stellar defense for a Bucks second unit that has struggled on that end of the floor consistently.

1. Marc Gasol

If the Bucks are looking for a blockbuster signing this summer, why not go after the best center hitting free agency? Marc Gasol would instantly make the Bucks' frontcourt one of the best in the East, being paired alongside Jabari Parker. Gasol’s ability to space the floor with his efficient mid range shooting would make the Buck’s starting lineup a nightmare to guard.

Matt Barnes Follows John Henson Into Tunnel After Double Ejection

John Henson and Matt Barnes got into it on Thursday evening. After Henson emphatically rejected Barnes, he showcased an outrageous stink face, and Barnes took exception. Both players were ejected, and Barnes subsequently followed Henson down the tunnel to the Bucks' locker room. Henson was seen with a scrape on his face after the game, so it's fair to assume to two weren't discussing their NCAA tournament brackets in the bowels of BMO Harris Bradley Center.
