5 Free Agents the Golden State Warriors Should Target in 2015 Offseason

Although the Golden State Warriors are a game away from making it to the NBA Finals, this team is not exempt from possibly needing help this summer to fill in a few roster holes. With free agency right around the corner, several players could be the key to keeping the Warriors in title contention. Here are five free agents the Golden State Warriors should target in the 2015 offseason.

5. Patrick Beverly

If the Warriors are looking for a quality point guard to back up Stephen Curry next season, look no further than potential free agent Patrick Beverly. As one of the most underrated defensive guards in the league, Beverly’s injuries derailed what could have been a tremendous season for the young guard. In just 55 games, Beverly managed to average 10.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals.

4. Jamal Crawford

One of the weakest positions on the Warriors roster is shooting guard depth. Outside of Klay Thompson, the Warriors have no secondary option that can create his own offense. Jamal Crawford would be an excellent backup option, largely because he has career averages of 15.6 points on 42 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent from beyond the arc over a 14-year period.

3. Marco Belinelli

From a pure shooting standpoint, the Warriors can't do much better than potential free agent Marco Belinelli, who is considered one of the better sharpshooters in the league. With career averages of over 40 percent from both the field and beyond the arc, Belinelli will instantly space any offense based on opponents having to respect his shot. He would instantly fit into how the Warriors play offense.

2. Kevin Love

Kevin Love is arguably one of the best power forwards hitting free agency, and with Draymond Green potentially becoming a free agent; the Warriors would be wise to reach out to six-year forward. Love had a down season from joining LeBron in Cleveland, but still managed to average a near double-double with 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds. Offensively, Love is a much better option than Green.

1. LaMarcus Aldridge

If the Warriors strike out on signing Kevin Love, the next best option at the power forward position would be free agent LaMarcus Aldridge. Averaging over 47 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc last season, Aldridge is epitome of the floor spacing forward. Defensively, Aldridge can hold his own in the post, which is something the Warriors frontcourt has excelled at this season.
