2015 NBA Draft- 5 Perfect First-Round Fits For Miami Heat

The Miami Heat were lucky enough to land the No. 10 overall pick in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft. By doing so, the pick won’t be transferred to the Philadelphia 76ers and the Heat will hopefully add a player who can contribute right away. Multiple positions need additional depth on the roster, so it's anyone’s guess as to who the Heat will select come June 25. Here are five perfect first-round fits for the Heat.

5. Sam Dekker

With depth at small forward a primary need for the Heat, Sam Dekker would be an ideal selection as a forward off the bench. Dekker is arguably one of top three small forwards in the draft, and based off preliminary workouts, he's one of the most NBA-ready players. At 6-foot-9, Dekker is long and athletic, which is exactly what the Heat need from their wing players.

4. Frank Kaminsky

If none of the top wing players are available for the Heat with the No. 10 pick, selecting a stretch forward/center is their next best option. Frank Kaminsky is one of the best stretch forwards coming out of the draft, and he would give the Heat an additional multi-skilled weapon in the frontcourt rotation. Kaminsky would be an ideal replacement for Chris Bosh off the bench.

3. Kelly Oubre

Out of all the small forwards ideally being selected in the first round, none have more upside than Kelly Oubre. Although Oubre is still very much a raw talent, his ability to become a wing stopper on defense should not be understated. This is by far one of his most redeeming qualities and one the Heat might not be able to pass up.

2. Devin Booker

Other than the small forward position, the backup shooting guard spot is arguably the Heat’s biggest need, especially with the uncertainty of Dwyane Wade’s return. Devin Booker is the best pure shooter in the draft, and he would be a key player off the bench in terms of offense. Booker shot over 48 percent from the field and 42 percent from beyond the arc last season at Kentucky. All signs point to him being a fantastic shooter in the NBA.

1. Stanley Johnson

If Stanley Johnson some how manages to make it past the first nine picks, the Miami Heat would be crazy not to grab the second-best small forward in the draft. Johnson is like the Swiss-army knife of players, averaging 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game for Arizona while shooting over 47 percent from the field and 38 percent from beyond the arc. Johnson would fill a multitude of needs for the Heat at small forward.
