5 Players the Phoenix Suns Should Consider Trading This Offseason

The Phoenix Suns have missed out on the NBA playoffs the past five seasons, so clearly there are some changes that need to be made. This is a roster that could definitely use a big shakeup, especially if Phoenix wants to be able to contend in a very competitive Western Conference. Here's a look at the players the Suns should consider trading this offseason.

5. PF Markieff Morris

Morris' name on this list may come as a surprise to some people, but the news of an aggravated assault back in April is pretty disturbing. No team wants players who can't stay out of trouble off the court. Morris was a solid player for Phoenix all year long in his first full season as a starter. He could make for good trade bait because of his growth as a player.

The other Morris twin was also charged with aggravated assault, so that's an issue. It may be time for the twins to finally split up and go their separate ways. Morris improved his play this past season, averaging 10.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. However, he probably won't improve too much more in the upcoming seasons. It may be time to move him while his stock is near its peak.

3. SF P.J. Tucker

Tucker had a decent year in Phoenix this past season and was able to hold down the starting small forward spot. He is a great rebounder for his size, but his shooting percentages have dipped. It appears that Tucker is really no more than a solid role player. If the Suns want to contend in the West, they must upgrade the starting lineup.

2. SF Danny Granger

The small forward position is getting pretty crowded in Phoenix, so it is time to move someone. If anyone gets moved, it should probably be Granger. He's 32 years old and has been slowed down by injuries. Granger is nothing more than a veteran role player at this point in his career and would be better served on a team that is already prepared to contend as opposed to a rebuilding franchise.

1. PG Eric Bledsoe

The Suns most likely do not want to trade Bledsoe, but they might have to. He is the best player on the team and the only real trade piece, outside of maybe Alex Len. Bledsoe has proven that he can put up big numbers in this league, but he is not necessarily a building block for Phoenix, so they will need to move him if they want to add an All-Star.

Watch Suns' Morris Attack His Own Teammate Goodwin

Just when it looked like Markieff Morris was ready to put all of the shenanigans behind him and focus on basketball, he does something stupid again. This time, he got so infuriated with teammate Archie Goodwin that he attacked him inside the Suns' timeout huddle. He not only shoved him, but he attempted to choke Goodwin which is way over the line.

Archie Goodwin Hits Epic Game-Winning Three

The Phoenix Suns are legit playing without five or six important members of their rotation currently, so guys who don't normally make the highlight reels are getting an incredible amount of playing time. This is the case for Archie Goodwin, who started at point guard in Brandon Knight's absence and hit this improbable three with time running out to cement a 98-95 win. Things haven't been go swimmingly in Phoenix this season, so it was awesome to see Suns fans and players alike enjoy this hard-fought win.
