According to reports, the gulf between Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat is as large as $ 24 million over three years -- and the rumors are beginning to get loud about what his 2015-16 jersey might look like. With that in mind, here are five potential landing spots for Wade and why they may or may not be right for him.

All of the excitement and warm feelings of LeBron James going home may give Wade a few ideas, but he unsuccessfully hinted at that once before (2010) and ended up criticizing Chicago Bulls management for the treatment of players in the past. Besides, it's unlikely that the organization would want an entire starting backcourt with knee problems.

Coach Doc Rivers is a fellow Marquette alum and Chris Paul is part of Wade’s “Super Friends”, but it would likely take the Los Angeles Clippers letting DeAndre Jordan go to make the signing happen. The center is a liability at the line, but there is no way that they let a constant Defensive Player of the Year candidate and walking double-double leave.

Phil Jackson is looking to make a big splash after a first year flop, and Wade's other buddy (Carmelo Anthony) is in need of some help to get back on track. Add a few players around them and they should get to the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference. Plus, Wade will get the bright lights of MSG every night and the money that he allegedly wanted.

Remember the Christmas Day embrace between Dwyane Wade and LeBron James that had everyone talking? What if LBJ's statement about reuniting again to "do some bigger and better things" was about Wade returning the favor? Sure Dan Gilbert would like to stick it to Pat Riley, but not at the expense of J.R. Smith's three-point shooting or the bad chemistry of four stars needing one ball.

The best bet is still to put your money on Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat working out their problems so that he returns to his home of the last 12 years. Both sides simply have too much to lose if they do not.
