Dissing LeBron James is as silly as a selfie stick, yet fans just do it anyway. But what if James were part of your team? Would you troll a different tune? I know there are a lot of NBA studs that would play in cheap sneakers just for the shot at winning a title with LeBron. Championships matter and James has at least the following 15 friends in talented places:

15. Carmelo Anthony

It’s now public knowledge that Carmelo Anthony holds the King’s court within James’ inner circle of friends. It would be interesting to see Anthony play in a cheap pair of Starbury’s, but I’m sure you get the metaphor.

14. Stephen Curry

Both hail from Akron (at least by birth) and could join forces while seeing their stats explode. James needs a three-point guy and Curry is the best in the business. These powers combine and it’s “Not one… not two… not three…” all over again.

13. Vince Carter

Vinsanity is chasing after championships like he’s running out of fertility. Falling short repeatedly, you can bet Carter is cold-dropping résumés into King James’ inbox.

12. Deron Williams

Time is flying by when you can start having the conversation “Deron Williams is getting up there.” Williams will be 31 next season and only has a shallow pool of prime left.

11. LaMarcus Aldridge

Tristan Thompson is a really really nice Buick, but LaMarcus Aldridge is a Cadillac. If Thompson pursues max money in 2015, then GM James would opt for a more proven and polished player for the max investment.

10. Paul Pierce

Why not get one championship the easy way? Okay, a title is never easy, but the route with James is definitely the path most desired. Even if Pierce purportedly despises the King.

9. Chris Paul

Watch Lob City elevate to Lob Nation if Chris Paul and James ever join forces. Matthew Dellavedova isn’t the only one that can put up buckets with a nagging hamstring.

8. Amir Johnson

James has rescued a Toronto Raptors' forward before and what's eerie is Johnson has numbers similar to Chris Bosh (18.1 ppg/8.5 rpg/1.7 apg).

7. Kyle Korver

James can not hoard enough deep-range assassins. The more the merrier, as long as LeBron’s team can manage a few max contracts.

6. Damian Lillard

What if the Cleveland Cavaliers find Kyrie Irving too injury prone? More importantly, what if this is James' take? To keep the King in Cleveland, the Cavs will meet any and all demands or lose LeBron trying. Bringing in a hungry young point guard in Damian Lillard would be a good way to retain LeBron’s talents.

5. Monta Ellis

Monta Ellis
After Cleveland's NBA Finals catastrophe, it's no secret the Cavs could use a little "guard help." Off the bench or as a Kyrie Irving safety valve, Monta Ellis' impact would be positively devastating. Ellis' 26 points per game could easily eclipse 30 with James feeding the rock.

4. Brook Lopez

LeBron James already has one Anderson Varejao, but perhaps the King would like another? Brook Lopez has yet to see a 50-win season, let alone even sniffed an NBA championship. Therefore the desire to play with LeBron is instantly inherent.

3. Pau Gasol

Once you win it all you know of no better accomplishment. Pau Gasol is hungry, but time at the table is running out. If it were possible, you know Gasol would ride the tide with James. And if the Cavs lose Kevin Love, Gasol is the next best thing.

2. Anthony Davis

Talk about a contingency plan. Davis hits his prime just as LeBron exits his apex. The Brow and The ‘Bron, can you say 82 regular-season sellouts?

1. Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant in Cleveland? Well, Durant does play in Oklahoma City and that’s not exactly a refined center of culture. James has been building his paint game and Durant is dirty around the arc. Sounds like an unstoppable union to me.
