LeBron James got undressed on Thursday night. This happened in both a literal and figurative way, and the Cleveland Cavaliers could be on the path to heartbreak as a result. Many readers slammed me on various forms of social media when I picked the Golden State Warriors to win this series, but I stand by my conviction now more than ever.
Golden State didn’t change that much about how they were covering LeBron in Game 4, but they did start Andre Iguodala and put him on James for almost the entire night. Analyst Jeff Van Gundy even suggested “Iggy” outplayed LeBron, and that doesn’t happen often against the four-time MVP.

James also flashed the ABC broadcast Janet Jackson-style before tipoff, although I thankfully did not catch that part. If you want to see it, then there are many online publications that would be more than happy to oblige you.
His head injury was the other time that James got exposed in quite a literal way, and I really wish they had taken him out of the game after he crashed into a cameraman because of Andrew Bogut‘s foul. There were one too many ABC closeups of LeBron’s bloody head for my taste.
Will the Cavaliers make any adjustments in Game 5? I don’t think so. They don’t really have many that are possible at this point other than bringing in Shawn Marion and seeing what he has left in the tank before retiring. Head coach Steve Kerr‘s leadership has finally shown through in the series, and I expect him to outfox David Blatt for the duration. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe LeBron will score over 40 points in two additional games and lead the Cavs to their first title, but it looks more like Cleveland will have to wait at least 52 years for another championship parade.
