Predicting The 5 Biggest NBA Trades Of Summer 2015

The 2015 NBA Draft draws closer with each passing day, and there are plenty of general managers around the league who would love to upgrade their roster with an intelligent trade. This article will explore what blockbuster trades could be made before the summer passes. Some of the moves will have to do with upgrading a team's draft pick, but this piece will also look at other teams desperate to make noise by adding a key player.

The Denver Nuggets have been selling all of their valuable pieces for draft picks, and I wouldn't be shocked if they called Phil Jackson about trading Ty Lawson for the No. 4 overall pick. Emmanuel Mudiay would be a great fit on the Nuggets, and the New York Knicks could still get Frank Kaminsky with the No. 7 pick while adding a quality PG to run Jackson's triangle. Lawson to the Sacramento Kings might also be an option.

David Lee could be an interesting option for the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe Bryant would love to play with a guy like Lee, and the PF might adore living in Los Angeles. Lee can score over both shoulders and is a true competitor as evidenced by his performance during the 2015 NBA Finals. "The Black Mamba" would appreciate having that set of skills and competitiveness on his team in the heat of battle.

DeMarcus Cousins would be welcomed by the Boston Celtics and Danny Ainge. Cousins is the best low-post scorer in the league, and he'd give Brad Stevens quite a lot of options offensively. The Sacramento Kings probably would demand a lot in return for Cousins; however, the Celtics have plenty of draft picks to offer.

The Toronto Raptors weren't pleased with the way their season ended, and I expect them to make a trade this summer as a result. Do they have enough draft picks to convince the Nuggets into giving up Kenneth Faried? That will be up to Denver, but I know that the Raptors could have used Faried's rebounding ability in their playoff-ending series against the Washington Wizards.

Hear me out on this one. The Golden State Warriors have clearly gone all in on the small ball approach. So wouldn't trading Andrew Bogut for Kevin Love make sense for both teams? Bogut would give the Cavaliers a better option than Timofey Mozgov and contribute to their front court depth. Meanwhile, the Warriors would finally have the stretch four they wanted last summer without having to give up Klay Thompson.
