5 Free Agents the Chicago Bulls Should Avoid This Offseason

The Chicago Bulls lost in the 2015 NBA playoffs to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The entire season was filled with inner turmoil that hurt the team. Now, after firing their old coach Tom Thibodeau and hiring a new coach, more pressure is on the Bulls to finally break through and win a championship. Here are five free agents the Bulls should avoid this offseason if they want to achieve their goals.

Pierce is one of the hardest competitors in the league. He is a champion who knows what it takes to win. But after so many years in the league, Pierce won’t be able to make the Bulls a better team because he won’t be able to play the minutes that the Bulls would require of him. The Bulls should avoid Pierce and look for a younger alternative.

4. DeAndre Jordan

Jordan has the defense that Joakim Noah seems to have lost. But that’s all he has. Jordan is also looking for a max contract this offseason, something the Bulls can’t give him. With an inability to make free throws and an offensive game that leaves much to be desired, the Bulls should avoid Jordan.

3. Kevin Love

Love is a player who can score 20 points on any given night and average 10 rebounds per game as well. But Pau Gasol already does all of these things for the Bulls. The Bulls should avoid a smaller version of Gasol because Love is coming off an injury that could his rebounding potential down the road.

2. Marc Gasol

Marc Gasol would be a clear upgrade over Noah if somehow the free agent center could find his way to the Bulls. Having both Gasol brothers on the same team would be even better for team chemistry because both Gasol brothers know how to pass well. But with the deal Gasol is looking for, the Bulls should avoid Gasol and use the money for Jimmy Butler.

Wade is one the best shooting guards of all time. He has three rings and is a bona fide champion in every sense of the word. With Wade possibly opting out because of contract disputes, most teams would jump at the chance to get Wade. But the Bulls should avoid Wade because he just can’t seem to stay healthy and he is still asking for a near max deal.

Watch Bulls Get Whistled For 5-Second Call Because Of Drake

The Toronto Raptors were down by three points with 25 seconds remaining and the Chicago Bulls were taking the ball out of bounds. It happened to be right in front of Drake who is the Raptors' biggest fan. Drake proceeded to talk trash into Justin Holiday's ear while he tried to get the ball in-bounds, and it distracted Holiday enough to get a crucial five-second call against the Bulls. This is my favorite Drake moment of all time.
