Reasons Why Warriors Will Become A Dynasty
For the first time since 1975, the Golden State Warriors are NBA Champions. It took 40 years for the franchise to win another title, but the wait almost definitely won't be that long until their next championship victory. Here are five reasons why the Warriors will quickly become the NBA's next great dynasty.

Joe Lacob

Like in every other business, everything starts at the top. Joe Lacob has proven to be an owner that truly puts winning before just about everything else. He's shown a willingness to spend money in order to build the best roster possible. Time and time again, Lacob has indicated the Warriors fully plan on signing Draymond Green to a lucrative contract extension this offseason, even though it means the team will have to pay the luxury tax.

Core Players Are Young

Unlike what we've seen from some of the best teams in recent years, the Warriors built their roster through the draft. The four core pieces of this young team are Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Harrison Barnes. Curry and Barnes were picked at No. 7 in their respective drafts, Thompson was the No. 11 selection, and Green slipped all the way to Round 2. At 27 years old, Curry is the oldest of the "Core Four," just to give you an idea of how long these Warriors will likely be playing together.

Cap Situation

Even with David Lee's burdensome contract, the Warriors are in a good situation with the salary cap. Stephen Curry's extremely team friendly contract, paying the MVP $12 million per year through 2017, definitely helps. Draymond Green will likely sign a max contract extension soon, and the Warriors will have no choice but to enter luxury tax territory for the 2015-16 season as a result. Lee's contract expires after the 2016 season, and Andre Iguodala's big contract will come off the books after 2017, so it should just be one season of luxury tax penalties.

Bob Myers

In just over four years as the Warriors' general manager, Bob Myers has quickly earned a reputation as one of the most-highly respected executives in the sport. The former sports agent has proven to be a great talent evaluator and a master at working the draft. With Myers handling the roster for the foreseeable future, the Warriors are in great hands.

Steve Kerr

Not much changed on paper from the 2014-15 season to this incredible season for the Warriors, other than a coaching change. Steve Kerr replaced Mark Jackson, changed the offense, and the team took a big leap as a result. Kerr has shown to have all the makings of a successful coach for the long term, and his steady guidance will help the Warriors build the NBA's next great dynasty.

Warriors Tell Festus Ezeli He's Been Cut In Epic Prank

Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala teamed up with the popular ride service 'Lyft' to prank Festus Ezeli recently, and it was nothing short of hilarious. During his ride, Ezeli hears news over the radio that he's been released from the team and isn't quite sure what to make of it. Eventually, the car pulls over, and Iguodala informs Ezeli that he's been pranked. Iguodala almost takes a cake to the face from Ezeli as a result.

Thompson Turns It Over After Celebrating Curry's Shot Too Early

Klay Thompson has played with Stephen Curry for long enough to know that he's a stone cold assassin from downtown. On Friday night against the Dallas Mavericks, Curry began to take a three that Thompson was sure he would make, so he celebrated prematurely. Unfortunately for Thompson, his fellow 'Splash Brother' never shot the ball, and instead passed it his way. Thompson seemed to recover from the error initially, but the possession ultimately ended in a turnover.

Watch Draymond Green's Shove Of Ricky Rubio

Draymond Green gets the benefit of the doubt from referees, but his two-handed shove of Ricky Rubio should not have been ignored and should have been whistled for a foul.
