The Seattle Seahawks have been a championship contender for the last three NFL seasons. But Seattle has always been a city starving for an NBA franchise. Here are five NBA teams that should move to Seattle and finally give their city an NBA team.

Nobody wants to play in Minnesota. It’s too cold and the market isn’t particularly good for an athlete or organization to build their brand. The Minnesota Timberwolves should move to Seattle so that they can finally start attracting players who want to grow with the team.

California has four different NBA teams playing in the state (Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings). The Kings have been the least successful of the four California teams, so the team needs to make a move in order to get a fresh start.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are rapidly approaching a crossroads. In the next two years, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will be unrestricted free agents. The Thunder traded James Harden because of fears toward the luxury tax. In a larger market like Seattle, the Thunder won’t have to worry about the tax as much and they will be able to pay Durant and Westbrook what they deserve.

Michael Jordan might have gone to college in North Carolina, but it’s time to move on. His team isn’t attracting premier free agents and the team continues to be inconsistent. A move to Seattle would revitalize Jordan and the entire Charlotte Hornets franchise.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been through a lot over the last couple of seasons. They changed owners because of a scandal, they brought in a new owner for a record amount of money, and they failed to reach the Conference Finals once again. The Clippers should move to Seattle in order to get away from all the bad luck and to get out of a town that will always belong to the Los Angeles Lakers.
