The Sacramento Kings are officially the most dysfunctional team in the NBA. DeMarcus Cousins, by far the team’s best player and maybe the best big man in basketball, is reportedly on the trading block and could very well be gone by the time the NBA Draft starts on Thursday night.
If there wasn’t already enough going on, reports now indicate the Kings are entertaining trade offers to move back from their No. 6 spot in the draft. If they hold on to their pick, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Mario Heznoja is one of the leading candidates to be selected at No. 6.

Heznoja is a 6-foot-8-inch shooting guard from Croatia and one of the biggest mysteries of the draft. The 20-year-old came off the bench for Barcelona this year, averaging just 7.7 points-per-game, but improved as the season went on. He has an intriguing blend of athleticism and shooting ability to go along with his elite 6-foot-8-inch frame for the shooting guard position.
Heznoja is one of the most explosive players to come out of Europe in a long time. He’s extremely skilled on the offensive end and a fluid athlete attacking the rim or spotting up for three.
Nik Stauskas, a shooting guard, was the Kings first-round pick at No. 8 last year. The University of Michigan product was a major disappointment in his rookie season. Drafting Heznoja would certainly signal the Kings don’t have Stauskas in their long-term plans as a starter.
