The 2015 NBA free agent frenzy is barely 12 hours old, and it’s already nearly impossible to keep up with all the rumors and reported agreements between players and teams. The Orlando Magic, one team that wasn’t expected to make a lot of noise this summer, is reportedly doing everything it can to make one of the biggest splashes of the summer. According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, the Magic have offered Paul Millsap a four-year, $80 million contract.

Millsap met with the Magic at 12:01 Wednesday morning (the earliest time teams were allowed to talk with free agents) and was offered a maximum four-year, $80 million deal. According to sources, the Atlanta Hawks have offered their two-time all-star power forward the same contract.

The Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, and Indiana Pacers also wanted to meet with Millsap, but reports indicate he does not plan to meet with any other teams and will decide between the Hawks and Magic.

Millsap averaged 16.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Hawks last season. His 11.04 WAR (wins above replacement) was second among all power forwards, trailing only Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans.
