It all started with the release of head coach Tom Thibodeau and the selection of Bobby Portis in the 2015 NBA Draft. The Bulls still have plenty of work to do when it comes to constructing their final 15 for the upcoming regular season. Here are five players who should be shown the door. 5. Aaron Brooks Anthony Gruppuso- USA Today Sports 5. Aaron Brooks Anthony Gruppuso- USA Today Sports The NBA is going in the direction of youth and athleticism, and if the Bulls want to continue staying relevant in the East, the organization needs a much better option at backup point guard. Although Aaron Brooks did an admirable job this past season, being 31 years old, his productivity is only going to decline. It is time for the Bulls to add a younger player behind Derrick Rose in the rotation. 4. E'Twaun Moore Bill Streicher- USA Today Sports Advertisement 4. E'Twaun Moore Bill Streicher- USA Today Sports E’Twaun Moore only received garbage-time minutes with the Bulls this past season due to being the third option at shooting guard off the bench. Although he is only 26 years old, there is a reason why he was selected so late in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft. Moore isn’t an efficient shooter, and he lacks the length and athleticism to become a true perimeter defender. The Bulls need a better option in the backcourt rotation. 3. Nazr Mohammed Jerome Miron- USA Today Sports 3. Nazr Mohammed Jerome Miron- USA Today Sports Nazr Mohammed is nearing the end of his NBA career, having played over 17 years in the league and with eight different teams. Mohammed’s productivity has been on a steady decline since 2010 and culminated in career lows with the Bulls this season, averaging a meek 1.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. The Bulls need a major infusion of youth, and Mohammed is nowhere near this mark. 2. Taj Gibson Benny Sieu- USA Today Sports 2. Taj Gibson Benny Sieu- USA Today Sports The selection of Bobby Portis in the 2015 NBA Draft all but guarantees the Bulls' desire to trade or release Taj Gibson as their backup power forward. After a huge season in 2013, Gibson took a step back in productivity this season, averaging just 10.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. The Bulls are looking to infuse younger players into the rotation, and Portis will absolutely receive quality minutes over Gibson. 1. Joakim Noah David Richard- USA Today Sports 1. Joakim Noah David Richard- USA Today Sports The Bulls will be playing a lot faster on both ends of the floor with Fred Hoiberg as their new coach, and because of this, Joakim Noah may find himself on the outside looking in. Although Noah is a defensive juggernaut at the center position, he is one of the slowest centers in the league getting up and down the court. Couple that with the recent string of injuries he has had, and it’s not hard to imagine Noah being traded by the Bulls.
