It became inevitable that Dwyane Wade would re-sign with the Miami Heat, we just didn’t know what the terms of the deal would be. Just hours before team president Pat Riley meets with free agent LaMarcus Aldridge, the Associated Press is reporting Wade has agreed to sign a one-year, $20 million deal with the Heat.

He’s no longer the unstoppable force he was earlier in his career, but Wade is absolutely worth $20 million for one year. In 62 games last season, Wade averaged 21.5 points on 47.0-percent shooting to go along with 4.8 assists per game. When healthy and on the court, the 33-year-old future Hall of Famer is still one of the best players in the league.

Considering Wade is only getting older and as his injuries have continued to pile up over recent years, this one-year agreement is perfect for Miami.

With Wade back in the fold, the Heat will once again be one of the favorites in the Eastern Conference. Just as important for Riley and the Heat, signing Wade for just one year keeps their options open for the 2016 offseason. Kevin Durant is set to become a free agent after the upcoming season and everything points to the Heat doing everything they can to lure him to Miami.
