What draws interest to these games is the intensity in which the games are played, with many players focusing on nabbing a roster spot on one of the 30 NBA teams. Although his average point total hasn’t been high at just 8.5 points per game, the increased minutes he will be seeing will eventually bring that number up. With wing defense being one of the Heat’s biggest needs, Richardson could fill that void at a very cheap price, being on the rookie scale. Reed is currently averaging 12.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks, leading the team in rebounds per game. Outside of averaging 10.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, Johnson is also shooting over 44 percent from the field, becoming the type of consistent scorer the Heat have desperately needed from their backup shooting guard. 1. Already developing into a premium wing stopper, Justise Winslow also leads the team in points and assists. This is the exact type of production the Heat were hoping to see in the early stages.
