Despite a pretty significant roster shakeup, the San Antonio Spurs have a relatively clear-cut starting five for the upcoming season, although there are a few ways to fill specific positions. These are the guys who are going to be starting come tip-off time for the 2015-16 San Antonio Spurs.

Point Guard: Tony Parker

Parker has been bringing the ball down court with the Spurs for years now, and it's really not probable that anybody else will take his position this upcoming season. He's one of the most accomplished point guards in league history, and his veteran leadership and premier offensive skills always take the Spurs to a higher level when he's healthy. His body may be declining, but his role will be a vital one this year.

Shooting Guard: Danny Green

Danny Green's recent four-year contract will make him a true franchise cornerstone, and his metric stats make him a sure starter. He's one of the best sharpshooters in the league, but he's also become one of the top defenders over years of progression. There's no reason to think he won't come back even better this year, and he'll almost certainly hang on to his spot in the lineup.

Small Forward: Kawhi Leonard

There's definitely no question about the young small forward's role this season. He's the superstar of the team now, the first scoring option and the officially crowned best defender in the league. No one will be more important than Kawhi Leonard this year.

Power Forward: Lamarcus Aldridge

It is a possibility that the newly acquired post presence may start at the center slot, but it seems unlikely since his frontcourt teammate has more experience at that position. Aldridge is definitely a pure power forward as far as playing style goes, and the four spot is where he should see most of his minutes in the 2015-16 season.

The Big Fundamental is going to be 39 years old this season, but as long as he continues to age gracefully he'll still prove to be one of the top big men in the NBA. His team-first oriented efficiency makes him one of the most valuable pieces in the league, even now.
