The Atlanta Hawks Summer League schedule is starting to wind down. They only really had one roster spot to fill going in, and there were three main contenders for the spot if they filled it within this team. There are two others I would like to highlight before we get to those names though. So without further delay, let's get to those guys now.

He really made a name for himself when Edy Tavares went down with an injury. He stepped in and scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds in that game. He has also proven he at least has the potential for three-point range, hitting at a 44 percent clip in the Summer League. Overall, he's averaged around 10 points and six rebounds per game. While he probably won't make the roster, he has done well here.

Muscala has already locked up not only a roster spot, but he'll likely be a guy that gets decent minutes this season. He was just here to get some extra work in. While he wasn't quite as efficient as he would have liked, he didn't embarrass himself out there either. He has put up 10 points, seven rebounds and almost three assists per game. That's not too bad, and it will be interesting to see how his development continues during the season.

Robinson is the first of the three real candidates for that last roster spot. He was probably the least impressive of the three, but he definitely has shown some promise. He put up around 10 points and four rebounds per game. He failed to show much range though, and that could definitely hold him back from at least making this roster. I wouldn't be surprised if he latched on somewhere though. He may be a D-League guy this year.

Petteway was my personal favorite. He had an advantage going in as the Hawks made sure he signed for their Summer League team. He had a good showing, averaging 10 points, four rebounds and three assists. Petteway is an energy guy who usually won't be outworked. He needs to show a little more restraint on the offensive side of the ball to actually fit in with the roster though. I imagine that would come with time, but it is definitely an obstacle.

Patterson is probably the runaway favorite for the roster spot for a number of reasons, but two stand out from the others. First off, his rights are already owned by the franchise. Second, he is the one out of the three main contenders who has shown a consistent stroke from deep. He averaged 12 points, five rebounds and three assists. If they filled the spot internally, I would be surprised if it wasn't Patterson or Petteway.
