The Boston Celtics were a little bit of a surprise package last season when they grabbed a playoff spot. The team is still very young and has very visible holes, though they did a very good job in the draft on paper. Now that their summer league is over, the draft class probably looks even better. Their three main draft picks all did very well for themselves. They had a surprise or two along the way as well. Let's take a look at the players now.

No real surprise here. He wasn't the sharpest player out there, but he clearly looked like a man among boys out there at times, which is really all you want from him in this situation. He's not going to be on point at all times in this environment. The main thing is that he's healthy and he looks like he can definitely continue to improve.

2. Jonathan Holmes

Holmes is a guy that I personally didn't expect to play so well. He gave a very good account of himself here, though. He put up 13 points and six rebounds a game which is very solid, if not above average. The main factor for him here is he hit threes at a 53% clip. If you're looking to make this Boston roster, that's how you put yourself in the mix. This is a team desperate for outside shooting, and Holmes did all he could here.

Speaking of outside shooting, he wasn't quite as good from three as you'd expect from a guy with his talent. He had a pretty slow start, but as the league went on he continued to improve. This is a guy that could definitely get some minutes this season. His length gives him the potential to bother people on defense, and when he gets his shot going there aren't many better.

4. Jordan Mickey

This guy was hammered for leaving LSU early after last season. It seems like he had a pretty good estimation of his skill set. He was an absolute monster in all the right ways in Vegas, putting up 13 points, 11 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. He check all the right boxes for the Boston front office here, one would imagine, and could end up being the steal of the entire draft.

5. Terry Rozier

Not a very popular pick at the time from most, Rozier looked like a complete guard out there. He shot it better than most people thought he would, as well as being one of the few that were willing to get others involved. He put up 14 points, three rebounds and four assists, which are solid numbers, and then also shot 50% from three. If he's able to hit that regularly, this will be a much better pick than people thought it would be.
