The Phoenix Suns always seem to be that team in the Western Conference that just can’t finish with the eighth seed. Ever since Steve Nash left, the team has been missing something. But after re-signing Brandon Knight and signing free agent Tyson Chandler, the team has a chance to finally get that coveted playoff spot. Here are the top five Suns games fans must-watch if they want to keep tabs on the Suns this season.

The San Antonio Spurs are widely regarded as the team to beat this upcoming season. As a potential playoff opponent, the Suns should use this game to see whether or not Chandler can hold off LaMarcus Aldridge and Tim Duncan and give the Spurs something to worry about.

This offseason, the Suns traded Marcus Morris to the Detroit Pistons. His brother, Markieff Morris, wasn’t happy and he has said that he wants out of Phoenix. The brothers will reunite in Phoenix for one night only and it will be an emotional game.

3. Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks: October 28

The Dallas Mavericks lost Chandler to the Suns after heavily pursuing DeAndre Jordan this offseason. Chandler will have a chance to once again meet his old teammates while also having a chance to prove to the Mavericks that the Suns, and not the Mavericks, will make the playoffs this season.

Anytime a team faces the defending champion, it is always an important game. However, this game is also important because it is the last game before the All-Star break. Not only is this the halfway point of the season, but this game is a game where players usually relax because the All-Star break is coming. People should watch the Suns to see whether the Suns players have the right attitude or if this season will be no different than any other.

The last game of the season for the Suns is against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are also in the same division as the Suns. If the Suns are in a tiebreaker situation, they can’t afford to rest any players. Since the Suns are almost in contention for a playoff spot in the final day, the Suns need to win this game.
