The Miami Heat currently have the pieces in place to make a serious run at the Eastern Conference title this season. Still, based on the amount of superstar players set to become free agents next summer, the Heat could potentially blow up their roster in order to sign one of these star free agents. Here are five free agents the Heat should target in the 2016 NBA offseason.

5. Harrison Barnes

Although Harrison Barnes is young and still a slightly raw talent, his production in the 2015 NBA Finals has made him one of the top stretch forwards in the NBA. If the Warriors manage to not re-sign him, the Heat should give serious consideration to signing the athletic forward. Barnes would also be a great fit alongside Chris Bosh in the starting lineup.

4. Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal has only been in the league for three years, but the young shooting guard has emerged as one of the best shooters in the entire league. Averaging over 40 percent from both the field and beyond the arc over the last three seasons, Beal would turn the Heat’s backcourt into a devastating offensive force, especially being paired alongside Goran Dragic.

3. Al Horford

If things go south for the Heat in terms of re-signing Hassan Whiteside, the organization could always turn their attentions towards one of their divisional rival's best players. Al Horford is arguably one of the most talented offensive centers in the league. Plus, he is a stellar rebounder and moderate shot-blocker. Although Horford wouldn’t be the defensive presence Whiteside is, the offensive tradeoff is more than adequate.

2. Dwyane Wade

The Heat’s most prolific player in franchise history will once again become a free agent in 2016, and if the organization wants to keep its fanbase happy, then it will do everything in its power to re-sign Wade. Still considered one of the most efficient guards in the league, the Heat’s offense has relied on Wade's clutch shooting for years. Why let go of one of the top guards in the league?

1. Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant is considered the top free agent in 2016, and you have to assume Pat Riley and the rest of the organization have set their current roster up to have enough cap space to go after on of the league’s best players next summer. Durant would instantly turn the Heat into a title contender, especially if paired alongside Dragic, Wade, Bosh and Whiteside in the starting lineup.
