Dwight Howard Sacrificed It All By Playing In Last Year's NBA Playoffs With Torn MCL And Meniscus

Sometimes people just have to play through the pain … in any profession.

As for Dwight Howard, star of the Houston Rockets, he apparently played with some tears in last year’s postseason (MCL and meniscus, to be exact).

There’s no excuses in the NBA playoffs, but that’s pretty beastly by Howard. Unfortunately, sacrificing his body didn’t pay off in the end, as the Rockets were eliminated by the Golden State Warriors, who would end up becoming NBA champs.

Next time around, hopefully Howard will be 100 percent healthy — because he is one of the game’s best when that is in fact the case.

If this doesn’t get Howard’s team pumped up for the upcoming season — which is right around the corner — then I don’t know what will.

As for everyone else, enjoy said upcoming season.
