5 Reasons the 2015-16 Warriors Would Beat the 1995-96 Bulls

5 Reasons the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors Would Beat the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls

The Golden State Warriors are slicing through the NBA at a torrid pace, knowing full well that they are constantly being compared to the 1995-96 Bulls. Jordan's team set the league record with 72 wins and won their fourth championship in sixth seasons. Until now, no other team was worthy of being put in the same sentence with them. Stephen Curry's Warriors are changing the game and here are five ways they can use that to beat Jordan's Bulls.

5. Their Bench

The Warriors have the most complete bench in the league and one of the best in history. Andre Iguodala would start for most teams and is an incredible asset as a defender, proving that in last year's finals against LeBron James. Festus Ezeli is becoming one of the league's best offensive rebounders in the league and Shaun Livingston, one of the best backup point guards.

4. Three-point shooting

The Warriors have eight players on their team shooting over 38 percent from behind the three point line, including the Splash Brothers, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry. As a team they are making 44 percent of their three point attempts, staying on pace with last year when they connected on 40 percent.

3. An Unstoppable Offense

When Steve Kerr was hired for the 2014-15 season, the Warriors went from 10th in points per game and 12th in offensive efficiency to first and second respectively. Kerr took an offense on the cusp of greatness and turned it into something that was capable of building a dynasty. There is no team in this league that can stop this offense, and the best Chicago would be able to do would be to slow it down.

2. Draymond Green's Versatility

As valuable as Steph Curry is to the Warriors' success, they would not be where they are without Draymond Green. The team is plus-21.2 this year with him on the floor this season and plus-16.5 in 2014-15. The vaunted lineup that Golden State breaks out with Green at center is plus-66.5 this year after going plus-23.3 in 2014-15. Green's athleticism is too much for other centers.

The things that Steph Curry are doing right now are superhuman. It's not just that he's making 53 percent of his shots, an absurd number for a point guard, but that his makes are coming from ridiculous angles and distances. We keep waiting for him to cool off but the time hasn't come and the showdown between him and Jordan would be incredible.

Metta World Peace is a shell of the player he used to be and that includes his jumping ability. In last night's game against the Golden State Warriors, he had an uncontested layup attempt on a fast break and completely blew up, which led to a lot of laughter from the Warriors' bench.
