15 NBA Stars Who Have Spent Time Behind Bars

Javaris Crittenton — Legal problems and bad decisions have become an unfortunate trend for professional athletes and NBA players are not an exception from the rule. It's incredible how many of these millionaires make childish mistakes when they have so much to lose and the terrible acts they appear to get away with. Here are 15 NBA stars who have been behind bars.

Matt Barnes — Matt Barnes was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in 2010, and for driving with a suspended license and threatening a police officer in 2012. His fiancee later came out and said Barnes had never harmed her, but the TMZ video of his other arrest speaks for itself.

You want to feel sorry for Smith, and then you read that he has been arrested twice for speeding since the tragic accident.

Metta World Peace — Metta World Peace was arrested back in 2007 for domestic violence after an incident with his then wife and sentenced to 20 days in jail and community service. Metta only served 10 days but was suspended by the NBA for the first seven games of the 2007-08 season.
