Legal problems and bad decisions have become an unfortunate trend for professional athletes and NBA players are not an exception from the rule. It's incredible how many of these millionaires make childish mistakes when they have so much to lose and the terrible acts they appear to get away with. Here are 15 NBA stars who have been behind bars.

Matt Barnes was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in 2010, and for driving with a suspended license and threatening a police officer in 2012. His fiancee later came out and said Barnes had never harmed her, but the TMZ video of his other arrest speaks for itself.

While out on bond, he was arrested on a drug charge, and is now serving 23 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter with a weapon and aggravated assault with a firearm.

You want to feel sorry for Smith, and then you read that he has been arrested twice for speeding since the tragic accident.
