The Brooklyn Nets did their best to redeem another bad season when they hired San Antonio Spurs‘ assistant general manager Sean Marks to run things. Marks has already begun working on roster changes, but when the offseason comes he will become even more aggressive. Expect the 2016-17 team to look very different.

Brook Lopez — Lopez is one of the best offensive big men in the NBA, but he's not a player that you can build around to win a championship. The Nets would be better off blowing things up completely and starting over with a new core, one that doesn't include Lopez.

Thaddeus Young — Rumors of Thad Young being moved to the Toronto Raptors lasted right up until the final minutes of the trade deadline. The Nets' asking price was too high, but Young is having one of the best seasons of his career and Brooklyn should cash in on his current value.

Jarrett Jack — The Nets need an upgrade at the point guard position, and Jack is best served as a backup. He's not signed past next season, so moving his $6.3 million salary shouldn't be a problem.

Thomas Robinson — The Nets are the latest team to take a shot on Thomas Robinson and his lack of playing time, combined with the complete absence of an offensive game will lead to his departure.

Wayne Ellington — Ellington will exercise his player option for next season, and the Nets won't bring him back because they need more from their starting shooting guard.
