The 2015-16 season quickly went off-track for the Phoenix Suns, and with an 18-50 record right now, the end can’t come soon enough. Looking toward the 2016-17 season, here are five players who won’t be back with the Suns.
5. SF Chase Budinger

Budinger signed with the Suns last week after being waived by the Indiana Pacers, and he's averaged nine minutes per game over four games with the team so far. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, so it's hard to see Phoenix making a serious effort to bring Budinger back.
4. PG Ronnie Price

Brandon Knight's return to action has pushed Price back into a reserve role, and he hasn't produced much this season anyway (5.1 points and 2.0 assists per game). Opening up more minutes for Archie Goodwin next season should be a big part of Phoenix's offseason plan, so Price should not be back.
3. SF P.J. Tucker

In the final guaranteed year of his contract, Tucker was the subject of trade rumors leading up to the deadline. Age (31 in May) seems to leave him out as part of a rebuild in Phoenix, so Tucker is unlikely to be back next season.
2. PF Mirza Teletovic

Teletovic has been a reasonably productive scorer (11.0 points per game) and a good three-point shooter (40.2 percent) this season, predominantly off the bench. But he is also 30 years old and slated to hit free agency this summer, so the Suns should seek a different option for a similar role.

Chandler's contract (three years and $39 million left) and age (33) are barriers to any move the Suns may want to make with him, and he offered a commitment to helping turn things around before the trade deadline. But the Suns could use the extra financial flexibility, and Chandler would presumably like to play for a playoff contender, so a move could come.
