Cleveland Cavaliers HC Tyronn Lue, GM David Griffin Call Out LeBron James For Recent Behavior

Over the last few weeks, LeBron James has taken his normally egotistical behavior to new levels even for him, and it’s finally reached a breaking point for Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue and general manager David Griffin. Both guys had separate discussions with James about how they didn’t appreciate the way he’s been acting, but both said he took it well.

James has been sending out cryptic messages on social media, stopped following the Cavaliers on Twitter and Instagram, hanging out with Dwyane Wade at halftime of a game where the Heat crushed the Cavs instead of warming up with his team and most recently, talking about forming a super-team with his best friends Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul.

Lue specifically was peeved about the Wade incident in Miami and talked with James about it on Saturday.

“I just told him we can’t have that, being down like we were and him being the leader,” he told Cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon. “Just me being a competitor, I didn’t like it. We had a long talk about it. It was good. He understood, he apologized, and he’s been great.”

As for Griffin, this latest talk about forming a super-team with his friends, and not focusing on the current team, was the final straw. According to Vardon, “Griffin’s discussion with James was positive and productive, with James echoing recent public statements about an upward trend for the Cavs heading into the playoffs.”

This entire season James has been a horrible teammate, and all of this suspicious activity only fuels the speculation that he may be ready to bolt Cleveland again at the end of the season. While I think he’s gotten a raw deal in the past with some of his criticisms for what happened when he left the first time, James deserves all of the negative publicity he’s been getting, and more, for how he’s acted this year.
