Cleveland Cavaliers Are Peaking Right In Time For NBA Playoffs

The Cleveland Cavaliers have started to turn a corner in the last week, and a lot of it has to do with LeBron James.

He has finally stopped being passive aggressive, and he has started taking it to the paint as well. LeBron has struggled with his three-pointer all season, and he has decided to let it be a weapon in the back of his pocket.

Head coach Tyronn Lue apparently had a chat with James after the superstar’s comments about forming a super team with his buddies who are on different squads currently. And that isn’t exactly a way to build confidence with his current teammates.

James has toned it down, though, and the Cavaliers are peaking at the right time as a result. They are on a four-game winning streak, and it very well could be an eight-game streak when the playoffs arrive.

Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are beginning to show some rapport, and that is important for the Cavaliers to have postseason success. We all know LeBron will be motivated during that period, but Love and Irving weren’t fully involved during last year’s NBA Finals. Kyrie played in the first game, but his knee injury kept him from contributing in a complete way.

The Cavaliers have never won a title in their existence as a franchise, and LeBron’s goal is to change that reality. He can keep signing one-year deals all he wants, but there is no way he can leave Cleveland without winning a chip. It would destroy his integrity as a businessman, and this is something that is extremely important to him. He wants to be a global icon, and championships go hand in hand with that. He must be pleased with how his team is coming together, and the Cavaliers will have as good of a shot as anybody in the East at winning it all.
