If the Clippers were able to escape their first-round series against the Blazers, it would set up a second-round matchup with the Warriors and Curry is expected to miss at least three or four games with his injury. It would’ve given the Clippers a better chance of advancing to the Western Conference Finals. Instead, it’s going to be hard for them to get past the Blazers as the series is tied 2-2.
Things got even worse for the Clippers following Paul’s injury as Blake Griffin injured his quad a short time later and is very questionable for Game 5. Monday night really couldn’t have been any more upsetting for the Clippers.
