Los Angeles Clippers Are In Deep Trouble If Chris Paul Misses Rest Of Playoffs After Fracturing Hand

By Jason Fletcher

Just a few hours after the Los Angeles Clippers seemingly caught a huge break when it was announced that Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry would be out at least two weeks with a sprained MCL, Chris Paul fractured his hand against the Portland Trail Blazers.

According to ESPN’s J.A. Adande, Paul is likely to miss the rest of the playoffs.

If the Clippers were able to escape their first-round series against the Blazers, it would set up a second-round matchup with the Warriors and Curry is expected to miss at least three or four games with his injury. It would’ve given the Clippers a better chance of advancing to the Western Conference Finals. Instead, it’s going to be hard for them to get past the Blazers as the series is tied 2-2.

Things got even worse for the Clippers following Paul’s injury as Blake Griffin injured his quad a short time later and is very questionable for Game 5. Monday night really couldn’t have been any more upsetting for the Clippers.
