If you’re not following Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson‘s Twitter account, you’re missing out on a ton of fun. Johnson — whether he realizes it or not — has a unique style of tweeting in which he essentially posts things in a “Captain Obvious” voice.
For example:
We just need to get the pitching & hitting going at the same time! #GoDodgers

The only way San Antonio or Miami don’t win the championship is if neither team makes the finals.

This series is simple, the Heat are better than the Pacers on offense & defense.

I mean, it’s hard to believe he isn’t just trolling the masses with some of these.
I’m looking forward to the Heat vs. Hornets game 5 tonight, to see who’s going to take the 3-2 series lead!

On Sunday night, Johnson began posting some thoughts on what the Lakers should do in free agency this summer. He started with a perfectly logical suggestion in which Los Angeles signs Toronto Raptors shooting guard and Compton native DeMar DeRozan.
Laker Nation: DeMar DeRozan should be one of the free agents we go after this summer.

But early Monday morning, Magic decided to turn things up a notch by stating Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Kevin Durant should be Los Angeles’ main target.
Laker Nation: The first free agent the Lakers should go after is Kevin Durant.

Laker Nation: I would love to see Kevin Durant in the Purple & Gold!

This makes an abundance of sense as well, but probably didn’t need to be said as everyone knows Durant is the top free agent of the class. But, okay, I get it.
For whatever reason, Johnson subsequently decided to go off the deep end by suggesting the Lakers should go after LeBron James even though he’s “Going to stay in Cleveland.”
Laker Nation: The Lakers should call LeBron James agent. We know he’s going stay in CLE but they should go after him just in case he leaves.

Obviously, landing James, Durant and DeRozan this summer would be amazing. But Johnson knows it is next to impossible, and is likely doing this to generate buzz to his account.
Never change, Magic. Never change.
